Your originals are valuable and often hard to replace. A few simple precautions keep them safe on the way to New Delhi and back.
Apostille or attestation: which do you need?
If the country where you will use your document is a member of the Hague Apostille Convention, such as the USA, the UK, Canada, Australia or most of Europe, you need an apostille from the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi. If it is not, as with the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait, you need a full attestation chain that includes that country's embassy in New Delhi. Saudi Arabia moved to the apostille route when the Convention entered into force there on 7 December 2022.
