UAE Attestation of Indian Documents for People Already in the UAE
The UAE is not an apostille country. Indian documents need a full attestation chain, and most of it has to happen in India.
Read the guideThe destination country’s own stamp, applied by its embassy or consulate in New Delhi.
If your destination country is not part of the Hague Convention, an apostille means nothing there. Instead, that country's embassy in New Delhi must attest your document itself, after the MEA has done so.
Every embassy sets its own rules: its own fee, its own application form, its own accepted document formats, its own submission days and its own processing time. There is no single process to learn. This is precisely why this stage causes the most delays for people attempting it themselves — the requirements are not published in one place, and when they change, they change without notice.
New Delhi hosts over 150 diplomatic missions and we submit to them directly rather than through a sub-agent. That matters for two reasons: we know each embassy's current requirements rather than what its website said two years ago, and your original documents do not pass through an extra pair of hands.
Missing or incorrect MEA attestation. No embassy will look at an Indian document without it.
An outdated application form. Embassies revise forms without announcement, and the version circulating online is often months behind.
The wrong fee. Fees change with exchange rates and policy. An incorrect amount means the file is returned, not held.
Document format. Some embassies will not accept certain certificate formats, or require a translation, or require the document to be issued within a certain period.
We check all of these before submission, which is the difference between a document that comes back attested and one that comes back with a note.
No, and in most cases you could not even if you wanted to. The majority of embassies in New Delhi do not accept walk-in public submissions for attestation, and deal only with registered agencies.
We submit and collect on your behalf, and your document remains tracked throughout.

Read the guideNo. We submit and collect on your behalf. Most embassies in New Delhi do not accept walk-in public submissions for attestation in any case.
The most common reasons are a missing MEA stamp, an incorrect or outdated application form, the wrong fee, or a document format the embassy does not accept. We check all of these before submission.
No. If your destination is a Hague Convention member, an apostille replaces embassy attestation entirely, and is both cheaper and faster.
Embassy fees vary widely by country and document type, and are set by the embassy rather than by us. We quote the full amount including the embassy fee up front.
