How to Courier Your Documents to India for Attestation

A police clearance certificate confirms you have no criminal record, and is required for work visas, residence permits, immigration applications and many professional licences.
PCC attestation itself is quick. The certificate is authenticated by the state Home Department or an SDM, then apostilled or attested by the Ministry of External Affairs, with embassy attestation only for non-Hague destinations.
What makes a PCC different is the clock. Most receiving authorities will not accept a certificate issued more than three to six months earlier, regardless of the apostille attached to it. Sequence this document last, not first — attesting a PCC early in the process often means paying to do it twice.
