As a Hague Convention country, Romania accepts a single apostille from the Ministry of External Affairs. There is no embassy stage, which makes it both cheaper and faster.

Romania works in Romanian, so documents in English often need a certified translation into Romanian as well. Where one is required it is normally legalised alongside the original rather than afterwards, and we confirm whether yours needs one before the file is submitted.
One practical point: the mission normally closes on Romania’s national day (December 1) as well as on Indian public holidays. If your deadline is tight, that is worth allowing for.
