Nepal is outside the Hague Convention, so an apostille is not accepted. Documents follow the longer legalisation chain, ending with the Nepal mission in New Delhi.

Nepal works in Nepali, so documents in English often need a certified translation into Nepali as well. Where one is required it is normally legalised alongside the original rather than afterwards, and we confirm whether yours needs one before the file is submitted.
One practical point: the mission normally closes on Nepal’s national day (July 7) as well as on Indian public holidays. If your deadline is tight, that is worth allowing for.
