As a Hague Convention country, Costa Rica accepts a single apostille from the Ministry of External Affairs. There is no embassy stage, which makes it both cheaper and faster.

Costa Rica works in Spanish, so documents in English often need a certified translation into Spanish as well. Where one is required it is normally legalised alongside the original rather than afterwards, and we confirm whether yours needs one before the file is submitted.
