The Convention therefore does not apply between India and China, and an Indian apostille is not accepted there. Typical timeline: 10–20 working days. We confirm an exact estimate for your specific document and issuing state before you commit.
China works in Chinese, so documents in English often need a certified translation into Chinese as well. Where one is required it is normally legalised alongside the original rather than afterwards, and we confirm whether yours needs one before the file is submitted.
One practical point: the mission normally closes on China’s national day (October 1) as well as on Indian public holidays. If your deadline is tight, that is worth allowing for.
